Iceland is an active participant in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the Human Rights Council. The UPR is an important forum where the state of human rights in all states is discussed roughly every five years. The 32nd session of the UPR took place January 21. to February 1. During the session the state of human rights in 14 states was discussed. Iceland's recommendations to all 14 states can be found below.
