Speech by the Minister for Foreign Affairs at the 37th regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council
Guðlaugur Þór Þórðarson, Minister for Foreign Affairs, urged United Nations member states to respect fundamental human rights in his speech to the UN Human Rights Council this morning. He expressed deep concern about the violence in Syria and Yemen and called on the authorities in the Philippines to allow independent monitors to assess the human rights situation there.
