Ambassador visited the Chinese International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai

Ambassador Thorir Ibsen visited the Chinese International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai during 5-7 Nov. In addition to attending the opening ceremony, he visited the Icelandic pavilion at the Expo to welcome and encourage the participating Icelandic companies. As representative of Iceland at the 1st China-Nordic Countries Customs Inspection & Quarantine Cooperation Dialogue as a side event of CIIE, Ambassador Ibsen emphasized the importance of open communication and regular technical exchange between the experts and underlined Iceland's commitment to working closely with China in Customs inspection and quarantine cooperation. He also gave an interview to CGTN, where he expressed wish for the Icelandic companies to tap into the various potentials in the vast Chinese market.
